Culinary delights in the Tauferer Ahrntal (Valle Aurina)
The Tauferer Ahrntal (Valle Aurina) is known for it’s traditional cuisine:
“Schlutzkrapfen”, noodles filled with spinach and curd cheese, flavorful bacon on healthy rye bread, juicy beef, fresh herbs and sweet apple strudel are a delight to every connoisseur. The kitchen of the Hotel Mair in Kematen (Caminata) has devoted itself to these delights.
In the morning, look forward to an extensive breakfast buffet with crusty breads, cold cut and cheese specialties, tasty jams, muesli, yoghurt and fruit juices. In the evenings, classic Italian dishes are served in addition to South Tyrolean specialties: For your four course dinner you can choose from two appetizers and two main dishes (one of them a vegetarian dish), accompanied by a fresh salad buffet and followed by a scrumptious dessert. Some evenings we will surprise you with an appetizer or dessert buffet or “Tyrolean Evenings” with goodies typical to the Tauferer Ahrntal (Valle Aurina).
In addition to the dining room, Hotel Mair offers a house bar, an inviting guest lounge with TV area and an outside terrace where a children’s playground awaits our little guests.
And certainly we welcome guests who are not staying at the hotel to dine á la carte in our restaurant. We are happy to accommodate family or company festivities according to your wishes.
